The Real Odds of Dying of Coronavirus

This is a chart that shows the COVID-19 risk of dying for every age group in the country and is broken down into weeks of the year. The reason it starts at week 5 is because America didn’t get its first case until early February.

Overall, for the whole country, any given American had a 0.02% chance of dying with coronavirus this year. And the key word there is “with” because they don’t differentiate between deaths with the virus and deaths purely because of the virus.

It would be even lower if they did this.

Don’t believe the media’s fear porn. It’s time to reopen the country. All we need to do is take the appropriate precautions for the elderly, specifically nursing homes. Everyone else can go back to normal life.
