I want to do this for a living. But I don’t want to bombard you with ads on this site like so many others do. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Lots of blogs and news sites have become Ad Sites, and the actual content you went there to see is an afterthought. It ruins the whole experience.
I don’t want this site to look like those sites. I want it to be about content. Plus, when you rely on advertisers, you run the risk of compromising your site’s integrity: the advertisers, rather than the readers, become the core audience. Eventually it can get to a point where the advertisers dictate what you say. I don’t want that.
In my view the subscription model is the best way forward. It will be a small amount of money; right now $4 a month, but as more people subscribe I’ll drop the price. With the subscription model, you, the readers and subscribers, remain the main–and only–priority. It’s the best way to stay pure and true to yourself.
Everything on this site will remain free. The subscription option is 100% voluntary; if you love my content and want to support me in my goal to do this as my full-time job, it would mean the world to me if you chose to subscribe via this link:

Soon I want to expand into audio content (i.e. a podcast) and video content like webshows and livestreams. Eventually there will be exclusive content for subscribers only, and that’ll be video & audio content.
Your donation will enable me to take The Palace Intrigue to the next level.
I love doing this. I never get tired of it. I would do it round the clock if I could. Subscribing to this site will make that happen.
Thank you in advance for your subscriptions, and thank you to all who love this site and visit regularly! I encourage you to share this site with friends and family to help us keep expanding the community.

I like what you are doing here, I’ma gonna thing about it. The idea of personally sponsoring a national (sometimes international) freelance news journalist is kinda cool. (Even if it is only $4.00 a month)
Thank you! My whole idea is to charge as little as possible but have as many subscribers as possible. So down the road once the number of subscribers is high enough I will drop the price.
