Here’s a little round-up of some of the most nauseating examples of celebrity virtue signaling over the past few days.
First, Demi Lovato:

“I also felt like I wanted to call every person of color that I knew and apologize, which I know isn’t the right thing to do either,” she said. “Like a lot of people, I didn’t know what to do. All I knew was that I hated that I shared the same skin color as the people accused of committing heinous crimes against Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and many, many other Black lives.”
She’d probably be one of the first to say that BLM protesters shouldn’t grouped in with BLM rioters. So why does she think all white people are guilty of the actions of a handful of police officers?
This is so dumb it makes my head hurt.
Next up, Jane Fonda trying to be relevant:

This one is honestly hilarious. She really thought this would make her look like a Good Person.
How can I show the country I’m #Woke? Hmmmm. Oh, I’ve got it! I’ll say that one of my life’s greatest regrets was not having sex with Marvin Gaye in the ’70s!
She didn’t have sex with Marvin Gaye in the 1970s, but now she regrets that choice because, I guess, she is #Enlightened now and realizes that not having sex with a black man is racist?
The more I think about this headline the funnier it is, honestly.
Damn you, Jane Fonda! If only you had let Marvin Gaye hit it back in the 1970s! Then, maybe George Floyd would still be alive! Then, maybe, black people would have it better in America! Damn you, Jane!
I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older, or maybe it’s because social media and #MeToo have really shattered Hollywood’s veneer of larger-than-life cool, but I can’t believe I used to look up to celebrities. I can’t believe I used to think they were cool.
Or maybe it’s because seeing them SIMP for the SJW mob like this is just so unbecoming and cringey.
There’s just no way to make shilling for the Political Establishment look cool, no matter how hard celebrities try.
Wokeness is unavoidably lame.
