He’s talking specifically about children here, but what he’s saying applies to all age cohorts:

Again, what Fauci is saying here applies to everyone, not just children. But still, it’s nice for him to admit this after calling the rest of us Conspiracy Theorists™ for the past 2 years for saying this.
I don’t fully know why the government has so suddenly changed its tune on Covid, but I have some guesses:
- Omicron is obviously way milder than Delta. Omicron is a cold, essentially.
- The polling shows the Democrats being hammered in the 2022 midterms over their draconian and totalitarian Covid policies.
- They believe it’s a foregone conclusion that the Supreme Court overturns Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate.
I have a feeling it’s a combination of those three things.
