If not for media coverage, would you even know there was a global pandemic going on?
That is to say, have you seen any real-world evidence in your daily life that there is global pandemic going on?
Have you seen the carnage and devastation in your community? Have you seen the bodies pile up and watched as tons of people you know fell deeply ill?
Outside of the masks–which I’m now becoming convinced are required mainly to continually remind us that there is a DEADLY PANDEMIC–and the restrictions, have you see any evidence in your life that there is a pandemic?
Do you know lots of people that have gotten extremely sick and/or died due to Covid?
Imagine if there was no media, and you only got your news by word of mouth, would you know Covid existed?
I seriously doubt it.
I have had Covid–I tested positive and everything–and even I wouldn’t have known there was a unique “novel coronavirus” going around. I got it in September right as the weather started to change where I live, and if I didn’t know Covid existed would’ve just assumed it was a seasonal cold/flu. The only thing that I would’ve found unusual was losing my sense of smell and taste for about a week. But I probably would’ve just assumed it was part of the seasonal cold/flu.
Radio technology existed during the 1918 Flu Pandemic, but it was not widely available. All they had back then was telegraphs and newspapers. And yet everyone knew there was a global Flu Pandemic.
There was no media during the Black Plague of the 14th century, and yet everyone knew there was a Plague.
The point is, the proof of these past pandemics was self-evident. People back in those times didn’t need The Media to tell them there was a pandemic going on.
They saw the bodies piling up with their own eyes. They knew plenty of people who got seriously ill, and probably knew people who died.
The same is not true with Covid-19. If we were not constantly bombarded with media fear porn and propaganda, most people wouldn’t even know there was a novel virus going around.

Not only does New York have the second-highest COVID death-rate in the country, it has the second-highest COVID death rate in the whole world. Remember, 1,757 per million.
If New York State was its own country, it would have the 14th-most COVID deaths in the world (34,186):
But Cuomo went on the TV and held press conferences so give the man an award.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Elections Commission issued an order Thursday to recount more than 800,000 ballots cast in two heavily liberal counties at President Donald Trump’s request.
The order, required by law after Trump paid $3 million for the recount, was agreed to after rancorous debate for more than five hours Wednesday night that foreshadows the partisan battle ahead.
The recounts in Milwaukee and Dane counties, where Joe Biden outpolled Trump by a more than 2-to-1 margin, will begin Friday and must be completed by Dec. 1. Milwaukee County officials said they plan to finish the recount by Wednesday. Dane County Clerk Scott McDonell has not provided an estimated completion date.
That should have been the story. That’s really all the “news” the story contains.
But instead AP wanted to add in a bunch of commentary from Democrats, because Democrats are Trusted and Reputable Sources Without a Whiff of Partisan Bias. I’ll quote the article just so you can see how heavily skewed it is toward the Democratic side:
“It’s just remarkable the six of us in a civilized fashion can’t agree to this stuff,” Democratic commissioner Mark Thomsen said hours into the debate. The commission is split 3-3 between Democrats and Republicans.
First quote of the article goes to a Democrat. No surprise there, but note that the commission is split down the middle.
The article continues:
Biden won statewide by 20,608 votes. Trump’s campaign has cited “irregularities” in the counties, although no evidence of illegal activity has been presented.
No EVIDENCE of any Russian Collusion was ever “presented” but the media still pretended it was 100% for four years.
“We understand the eyes of the world will be on these Wisconsin counties over the next few weeks,” Meagan Wolfe, Wisconsin’s top elections official, said Thursday. “We look forward to again demonstrating the strength, security, integrity and transparency of our election systems in Wisconsin.”
AP didn’t include any information on Wolfe’s partisan affiliation, and I couldn’t find anything on her leanings after doing a brief search. But the fact that she used a Sorkinesque phrase like “the eyes of the world will be on these Wisconsin counties” indicates she’s a lib. That’s such a lib thing to say. “The right side of history,” “the world will be watching,” etc. etc. Plus the fact that she pre-emptively declared the Wisconsin election system as one of “integrity” and “transparency” only adds to the evidence that she’s a Dem and eager to declare that the SCIENCE IS SETTLED, so shut up.
The commission argued over changes to its manual that provides guidance to local elections officials over how to conduct recounts. Ultimately, they decided not to reference the manual in the order, but they did update some parts to reflect accommodations for the coronavirus pandemic.

Again, you’re only getting one side of the story: the Democrats’. To AP, that’s all that matters. Democrats are right and just and perfect and honorable.
Wonder what the Republicans thought about the matter? AP doesn’t think you need to know.
Their inability to agree leaves in place guidance that says absentee ballot applications must be approved as part of the recount, even though commission staff said that’s not required under the law.
Democratic commissioners said they were certain the recount was headed to court even though Trump’s claims were without merit.
More one-sided “reporting.” So because DEMOCRATS say Trump’s claims have no merit, that’s good enough for AP?
Hey, if a DEMOCRAT says it, that’s good enough for me. That settles it. Let’s move along here and get this thing wrapped up.
Board Chair Ann Jacobs, a Democrat, said Trump’s allegation that election clerks mailed thousands of absentee ballots to voters who hadn’t requested them was “absurd,” “factually bizarre” and a “vague, paranoid conspiracy.”
“What we ought not be doing is watering that plant of baloney,” she said.
Another quote from a DEMOCRAT.
Ah, here we go. 13 paragraphs in and we finally get a quote from a Republican:
Republican commissioners Dean Knudson and Bob Spindell questioned whether election observers would be treated fairly by Democratic county clerks in Milwaukee and Madison. At one point, Knudson even appeared to question whether absentee ballots requested through the elections commission’s state website were invalid because of how the requests are recorded.
“I hope we haven’t created a system at WEC that entices people to request a ballot that actually isn’t in keeping with the law,” he said.
One sentence for the Republicans, and even that the AP tried to frame as grossly unreasonable. WHAT? That Republican really just tried to say absentee ballots requested through the elections commission’s state website are invalid?!?!!?
Knudson, a former state lawmaker, has been on the commission since 2017 and like many office holders in Wisconsin encouraged voters to sign up for absentee ballots on the website. In August, he tweeted a link to the site along with the exhortation to “request absentee ballot now.”
Democrats dismissed Knudson’s concerns as outlandish, noting that the system has been in place unchallenged for years.
Yes, let’s hear more from DEMOCRATS. We haven’t heard enough from them in this article.

Oh, look at that: another quote from a Democrat, which is 100% opinion, yet treated as more credible and unassailable than the Gospel of Luke.
No shit Trump is only challenging the results because he lost. Why would a candidate that won challenge the results?
They’re leaving out the reason Trump “lost”: rampant voter fraud. If he thinks that’s why he lost, then he has every right to challenge that and present his case.
If you thought that was it, here comes the best part, which no mainstream media article in 2020 could omit: an accusation of RAAAAAAAAACISM.
Milwaukee County is the state’s largest, home to the city of Milwaukee, and Black people make up about 27% of the population, more than any other county.
Dane County is home to the liberal capital city of Madison and the flagship University of Wisconsin campus.
How dare those dastardly Republicans try to invalidate the votes of such an esteemed institute of higher learning!
The disputes at the commission had echoes of what happened in Michigan on Tuesday. Republicans on a canvassing board for the county that includes Detroit temporarily stopped certification of the vote after claiming that poll books in certain parts of the majority-Black city were out of balance. The deadlock brought claims of racism from Democrats before the board later voted unanimously to certify the results. The Republicans said they want to change their stance again, but officials said certification of the vote will stand.
Republican officials tried to do the same thing in Michigan, but Democrats quickly shut that down because REPUBLICANS ARE RACIST!
Thank God for Democrats. They’re truly angels living among us.

About one year ago, the New York Times launched “The 1619 Project“, a highly ambitious undertaking that, in its own words, sought to, “reframe the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of [the United States’] national narrative.”
In other words, completely rewrite American history so that black people are the protagonists and white people are the antagonists.
No more learning about the Quakers and the Puritans fleeing to the “New world” for religious freedom. No more learning about the Revolutionary War and the Constitutional Convention.
It is non-stop indoctrination of the “black people are oppressed, white people are the oppressors” narrative. It promotes the narrative that, in the words of Tim Kaine, America “created” slavery and “didn’t inherit it from anybody.”
The 1619 Project is the narrative that America was created for the sole purpose of oppressing and enslaving black people, and that the people that founded this country collectively made it their lives’ mission to oppress black people. Every law ever written, every word of the Constitution, every word of the Declaration of Independence–all of it was written by people who were single-mindedly intent on oppressing black people.
The whole “freedom” thing? A myth. The real point of America is to be mean to black people.
Because radical black ethnonarcissists in America today believe everyone is as obsessed with “blackness” as they are.

The project was timed for the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in the Virginia colony in 1619, and suggests that this date represents the “nation’s birth year.” It is an interactive project directed by Nikole Hannah-Jones, a reporter for The New York Times, with contributions by the newspaper’s writers, including essays on the history of different aspects of contemporary American life which the authors believe have “roots in slavery and its aftermath.”
They aren’t lying about wanting to completely rewrite American history.
If the 1619 Project was merely some article by a radical black nationalist published by the New York Times, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But it’s way more than that now: it is now starting to be taught in schools across the country. According to Northwestern University:
Imagine a high school classroom where the history teacher asks the students how societal structures continue to support the enslavement of Black people. Then the conversation continues to dissect the role of slaves in the development of America, abandoning the predictable narrative of the Civil War, emancipation, freedom.
That curriculum exists. The Pulitzer Center helped turn The New York Times’ The 1619 Project — which received worldwide attention when it was published last year — into a curriculum that’s now taught in more than 4,500 schools nationwide.
I’m sure the math doesn’t break down this evenly, but 4500 schools divided by 50 states is 90 schools per state.
The 1619 Project was created by people who harbor an impossibly deep and ferocious hatred of America and white people in general. They seek nothing less than the complete disenfranchisement and dispossession of white Americans.
Today, which is apparently “Constitution Day,” Trump (and VP Pence) delivered remarks at the first-ever “White House History Conference”, held at the National Archives. In his remarks, President Trump announced that he will soon be signing an executive order to create a “national commission to promote patriotic education” called “The 1776 Commission”. Our mission is to defend the legacy of America’s founding, the virtue of America’s heroes, and the nobility of the American character. We must clear away the twisted web of lies in our schools and classrooms and teach our children the magnificent truth about our country. We want our sons and daughters to know that they are the citizens of the most exceptional nation in the history of the world.
Because the 1619 Project teaches them the exact opposite: that they are citizens of the most wicked and RACIST nation in the history of the world, and that they should hate themselves accordingly.
The 1619 Project is the latest in a long line of anti-American alternative histories that began with Howard Zinn’s “A People’s History of the United States,” only this one is way more obviously anti-white.
When I was in high school not all that long ago (I graduated in 2009, very early in Obama’s presidency), US history lessons were already pretty heavily focused on slavery and the Holocaust (i.e. the “white people are dangerous and bad narrative”), but they still had some degree of balance and emphasis on the founding and American exceptionalism.
We learned that America’s system of government–a constitutional republic–was the first of its kind and marked a turning point not only here on this continent but in world history, after which the relationship between men and their governments would never be the same again.
Prior to 1776, monarchy was the rule around the world. Government was largely defined as a “ruler-subject” relationship, and people had little to no say in regards to the laws under which they lived.
We learned that the Founding Fathers of America were some of the smartest, wisest and greatest men to ever live because of the unique system of government they created.
Now, of course, American representative democracy as implemented by the Founders was incomplete, and so it evolved and expanded over time–most notably 1828 with Andrew Jackson, the 15th Amendment in 1870, the 19th Amendment in 1920, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. But though America did not begin as a fully representative democracy, all of those expansions to the voting franchise listed in the previous sentence were conceived, justified and ultimately signed into law based on the words the Founding Fathers had written in 1776 in their blueprint for America, aka the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.“
It was this line that ultimately led to the abolition of slavery, too.
I think the reason I’ve always believed in American exceptionalism is because it’s what I was taught in school. But things have changed significantly over the past decade or so.
It goes beyond just the Founding Fathers, too. When I was in school, we learned about the Civil Rights movement through the perspective of Martin Luther King Jr, whose most famous line was “I have a dream that one day, my children may be judged not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.” I grew up with the “colorblind America” ideal, but that’s long gone: now, nothing can matter more than race. It’s a complete inversion, the point of which is to divide America along racial lines rather than bring all races together under the American flag.
Now, you can argue that the Roman Republic beat us to the punch as far as democracy goes, and that our belief in the uniqueness of American democracy is short-sighted and naive, not only in its ignorance of the fact that the Roman Republic came first, but also in forgetting how the Roman Republic ended and what came after it.
America may yet go the way of the old Roman Republic–and there are a growing number of people out there who argue that this wouldn’t really be a bad thing–but I think the American Republic can still be turned around and saved so long as we reverse course now.
That’s what Trump is trying to do with the 1776 Commission: reverse course before America raise an entire generation of radical, America-hating leftwingers. More from Trump’s speech:
On this very day in 1787, our founding fathers signed the Constitution at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It was the fulfillment of a thousand years of Western civilization. He’s taking direct aim at the 1619 Project. He correctly identifies the unique danger it–and anti-American school curriculum in general–poses to the survival of this country.
The blue checks on Twitter are calling Trump’s speech “fascist,” unsurprisingly. Pro tip: if your biggest concern is the supposed “rise of fascism in America,” it’s probably not the best idea to tell people that a Presidential speech emphasizing things like “freedom” and “national unity” constitutes fascism. Lots of Americans are going to look at Trump’s remarks and think, “If that’s fascism, then I guess I’m a fascist.”
“Trump Youth” is also a trending topic on Twitter. Get it, like “Hitler Youth”? Very original and fresh, right?

We all knew this intuitively, but now we have a major Hollywood Director coming out and confirming it:
All the big movie studios are in thrall to China. This chart is from 2015 but it shows that even five years ago, China was gaining rapidly on the US in terms of where Hollywood makes its money. I’m sure now in 2020 China is even closer to the US in terms of box office dollars:
Hollywood knows where their bread is buttered. As recently as 2007, China represented a negligible share of Hollywood’s box office dollars, and so there really wasn’t a great need to pander to China. But over the past decade, China has become Hollywood’s golden goose. And so Hollywood, like every other multinational business, has sold its soul to China.
And by the way, the major Hollywood movie studios also own cable news, meaning cable news is bowing to China as well: Disney owns ABC, Time Warner owns CNN, NBC and MSNBC are owned by Universal (which in turn is under Comcast), while CBS and Paramount are both owned by Viacom. If the movie studios are doing this, you can bet the cable news networks are doing it in their own way, too.
Fox sold its movie division (20th Century Fox) to Disney earlier this year, which in theory should mean Fox News is not as compromised as the other news channels are. But I’m sure China has its hooks in Fox in some other way.
This is what global “free trade” incentivizes: massive multinational corporations loyal to the almighty dollar rather than America. They will sell America out in a heartbeat if it means higher profits.
It’s “vulture capitalism” on a nationwide scale: megacorporations strip down and sell America’s assets to the highest international bidders.
It used to be just strongly encouraged, now it’s mandatory: if you want your movie to be considered for an Academy Award (and what director doesn’t?), then it has to be social justice propaganda.
Starting in 2024, no film can be considered for Best Picture unless it satisfies two of the following four criteria (A, B, C & D). This is Standard A:
Either the lead or top supporting actor has to be a minority. If it’s an ensemble cast, 30% have to be either minorities, gay, female or disabled. Or the film itself has to be about “underrepresented people.”
This is similar to Standard A, but it’s for the people on the other side of the camera. The actors and the filmmakers must have Proper Minority Representation™.
You better not have any white interns.
The film’s marketing department must be led by minorities. Hollywood must now be focused on financially uplifiting minorities rather than making good films.
On top of that, all films considered for Best Picture MUST be propaganda now.
I hate to do the comparisons to Nazi Germany because they’re so commonplace and thereby diluted nowadays, but outside of Hitler, one of the most well-known Nazi officials from back then is Joseph Goebbels, the Nazis’ Minister of Propaganda. He turned the entire German film industry into blatant Nazi propaganda. This is the kind of thing we learn about in America and think, “It could never happen here.”
Well, maybe not. The Academy is literally dictating what movies should be about. If the movie’s message is not about how oppressed minorities are in America, then the Academy wants nothing to do with it.

I’m sure this has a lot to do with the fact that sports have become massively politicized over the past four months–the BLACK LIVES MATTER imagery everywhere, the anthem kneeling, the constant lecturing and sanctimony from players, coaches and sports media pundits. It’s all part of the reason Americans have turned their backs on sports.
But I want to draw your attention to the partisan split on viewing sports favorably: last August, Republicans were +11 on sports, now they’re -35 for a shift of -46 away from sports. Independents went from +26 to -10, a shift of -36. And Democrats have gone from +16 to +11, a shift of just -5
One of these things is not like the other. Republicans and Independents seem to be on the same page as it pertains to souring on sports, while Democrats have hardly budged.
I keep saying: the signs of a coming big Trump win are there, you just have to read between the lines.
Election polls keep showing Biden winning independents, but polls like this show us that’s probably not true. When it comes to the Hard Left Turn seen in American sports in recent months (really since Kaepernick first kneeled in 2016), Independents and Republicans are basically on the same page, while Democrats are on their own.
But even Democrats are turning against sports. Not a lot of them, but you would have figured that Democrats’ opinions of sports would have improved in the wake of all the BLM propaganda. It hasn’t; it has slightly decreased.
It’s too much for even Democrats.
I don’t understand why the sports world would want to become politicized. Sports is supposed to be an escape, a haven from the messed up world we live in. Beyond that, it’s just bad business to alienate half the country. I don’t know if sports leagues epically miscalculated and assumed BLM was way more broadly popular and uncontroversial than it really is, or if they have been fully co-opted by the radical left and repurposed into yet another propaganda factory even though they know it will cost them their audiences. I really don’t know, but I’d assume it’s the latter.
Just like the riots, the Hard Left Turn in sports has backfired spectacularly on the Democrats.
Expect a fake scandal a week from now until the election. The media is in full-on desperation mode now with under 8 weeks to go.
Last week it was the laughable accusation that Trump Hates The Troops, this week it’s “Trump downplayed the Coronavirus back in March and PEOPLE DIED!”
This all stems from a phone call between Trump and “journalist” Bob Woodward from March 19, which Woodward recorded and sat on until today:

If Bob Woodward thought it was such a big deal that Trump was downplaying the virus, and that the public needed to know and that it was literally a matter of life and death, doesn’t that make Bob Woodward a horrible person for sitting on this tape for nearly six months? Shouldn’t Bob Woodward have turned around immediately after that phone call and exposed his recording to the world?
No, because the point was to sit on it and release it close to the election.
If anyone is guilty of mischaracterizing the virus, it’s the media for “up-playing” how deadly it really is. It was widely believed in the early months of this year that COVID-19 was way worse than it actually is. As time has passed we now know it’s not nearly as deadly and dangerous as we initially thought. It is mainly older people at risk, the death rate is not 5%, and there was never any need to panic over this virus. We massively overreacted to this virus and should have reversed course and gone back to normal months ago.
Trump’s biggest mistake was speaking to the media at all. Why would he think he could speak in confidence to Bob Woodward? The best thing Trump could do would be to completely ignore and marginalize the “mainstream” media. Exclude NYT, CNN, WaPo and the rest from the White House. Do not treat them like legitimate news organizations, because they aren’t. They’re willfully dishonest propaganda outlets who are actively working to destroy the country.
As far as I can tell, the only thing the media is freaking out about is that Trump downplayed the virus in terms of his public comments. This does not mean his administration was not taking the virus seriously behind the scenes. After all, he banned all travel from China back in January.
So Trump is guilty of not inciting a panic among the people? Guess he should have just gone on TV and said, “We have done our best to contain this Biblical plague, but it is too much. Every man for himself. Spend what little time you have remaining with your loved ones. Maketh thy peace with thy God whilst thou still can.”
I don’t even want to get into this nonsense again. I’ve already done a long write-up on Trump’s handling of the coronavirus, and America’s numbers are not out of the ordinary at all worldwide.
In fact, the only places in America where the virus was handled poorly: Democrat-run New York and New Jersey. The media’s darling Andrew Cuomo and his pal NJ Governor Phil Murphy have been the two worst handlers of the coronavirus on the planet. That is not an exaggeration.

San Marino, an island of 34,000 people, has the highest death rate in the world at 1,237. Outside of them, the highest country death rate in the world is Peru, at 911 per million. The deaths-per-million rate in the US as a whole is 588.
